Mold is an important basic process equipment in the manufacturing industry, mainly used for efficient mass production of industrial products in the relevant parts and components, is an important part of the equipment manufacturing industry. The mold industry is the world's largest horizontal industry, which is widely used in machinery, electronics, automobiles, information, aviation, aerospace, light industry, military industry, transportation, building materials, medical, biological, energy and other industries. About 60% to 80% of the parts in the above industries need to rely on mold processing. The rapid development of the mold industry has given strong support to the manufacturing industry. The industrial driving ratio of the mold industry is about 1:100, that is, the development of the mold industry is 0.1 billion yuan, which can drive the development of related industries to 10 billion yuan. Therefore, the level of mold manufacturing has become an important indicator to measure the level of a country's manufacturing industry, and it is also one of the important guarantees for a country's industrial products to maintain international competitiveness.
As the largest mold manufacturing country, China's output value accounts for 1/3 of the world's molds, and is the world's largest mold market. In 2022, China's mold output value 330 billion RMB, and the industry is developing steadily. The total amount of imported moulds is only 1.1 billion US dollars, showing a continuous internal circulation supply capacity; the total amount of exported moulds is 7.7 billion US dollars, with a surplus of 6.6 billion US dollars; over the years, there are more than 200 exporting countries and regions, showing strong competitiveness. The mutual promotion of international and domestic double cycles is clearer. Chinese moulds support made in China and their position as the leading role in the international mould stage is more consolidated.
